Reform slate winning, Jane Kim close in State Senate race
SF Dept of Elections results as of early Monday, June 20:
State Senate District 11 race: In the June 7 Primary against Scott Wiener Jane Kim leads in votes cast in SF but trails by 250 votes overall in SF and San Mateo Counties. Click here for SF voting updates and click here for overall result updates.
Pre-election estimates were that Wiener would win by double-digits — way to go, Jane!
The Reform Slate owns DCCC! The Reform Slate candidates won 15 of 24 open seats and will control the SF Democratic Party. Some in the opposition (Mary Jung / Real Estate slate) spent up to $100K and did not win, e.g. Josh Arce and Marjan Philhour. Reform Slate candidates and supporters ran a successful grassroots campaign.
